The U.S. stock markets are set to open in two hours, and pre-market trading data shows some significant movements. Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Inc. (WH) is up 14.5%, while Boyd Gaming Corp. (BYD) has gained 5.0%.
Positive gains are also being seen in H&R Block Inc. (HRB), Karuna Therapeutics Inc. (KRTX), and Dollar Tree Inc. (DLTR), with all three companies posting gains of at least 2%. However, Choice Hotels International Inc. (CHH) and Ionis Pharmaceuticals Inc. (IONS) have experienced declines, falling 5.9% and 4.6% respectively.
Looking at the futures market, the S&P 500 futures are down 0.30%, while futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average have fallen 0.22%. The Cboe Volatility Index futures are down 10.59%.
In the commodities market, Brent crude oil futures have increased by 0.48%, and gold futures are up by 0.11%. Bitcoin has also seen a slight increase of 0.41%, reaching $28,466.
There has been a climb in the 10-Year Treasury yield, which now stands at 4.763%.
In the previous regular trading session, the S&P 500 and the Dow experienced gains of 1.06% and 0.93% respectively. Stocks in Asia have also been on the rise, with Japan's NIKKEI 225 Index up by 1.20% and China's Shanghai Composite Index rising by 0.32%.
Currently, stocks in Europe are showing mixed results, with the STOXX Europe 600 Index dropping 0.28%, while the FTSE 100 Index has risen by 0.32% from the previous close.
U.S. stock markets are scheduled to open for trading at 9:30 a.m. ET.
