U.S. Futures
Futures for the S&P 500 were up 0.3%, while futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.3%. It is important to note that changes in futures do not necessarily predict movements after the opening bell.
European Market
In morning trading, the Stoxx Europe 600 climbed 0.1%. Notable gains were seen in Adyen, which added 4.2%, and Dometic Group, which climbed 4.1%. On the other hand, NN Group sunk 10.8%, and ASR Nederland lost 6.7%. The FTSE 100 remained flat, while other stocks in Europe were also flat, with France's CAC 40 and Germany's DAX both remaining unchanged.
Currency Update
The Wall Street Journal Dollar Index maintained a flat position at 100.24.
Commodity Update
Brent crude experienced a gain of 0.6% and reached $92.99 a barrel, while WTI crude rose by 1% to $91.31 a barrel.
Bond Market
The German 10-year Bund yield declined by 2 basis points to 2.791% from 2.808%. Similarly, the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury fell by 3 basis points to 4.51% from 4.54%. As a general rule, bond prices and yields move in opposite directions.
Asian Stocks
Stocks in Asia showed positive movement as Japan's Nikkei 225 index climbed 0.2%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng gained 0.6%, and China's benchmark Shanghai Composite climbed 0.2%.
