General Electric's spinoff company, GE Vernova, has secured a monumental equipment order and long-term service agreement with global renewable energy giant Pattern Energy. This partnership will result in the construction of hundreds of turbines for the SunZia Wind Project, making it the largest onshore wind turbine order that GE Vernova has ever received in terms of quantity and electricity generation.

Scheduled to be online in 2026, the SunZia wind farm is currently under construction. Alongside the farm, a multibillion-dollar transmission line is being built to distribute the generated power to the western U.S. markets.

Pattern Energy recently closed a financing deal worth $11 billion for these ambitious projects. SunZia's magnitude has attracted significant financial capital and is expected to contribute significantly to the nation's renewable energy goals set by state and federal energy mandates.
